Brief Property History:

PARMAC 100 PROPERTY

Vander Hoek Corporation's first Kirkland property, Parmac 100 included a vacant lot when purchased, which was later developed into Parmac 200.  In 1990, when Vander Hoek Corporation acquired this property there was only the Parmac 100 building on the site. The building was originally built for and occupied by the Transparent Bag Company. There are two buildings, abutting each other, that make up the property. The northerly building was built in approximately 1968, and the southerly building in approximately 1971. The northerly building is a tilt-up concrete wall construction, while the southerly building has stacked concrete panels with an inverted parabolic light-weight concrete roof system.

The building known as Parmac 100 was built in two stages prior to our purchase of the site. The northern most portion of the building is situated near a natural spring, which for many years was tapped to provide cooling for equipment used by the Transparent Bag Company. Ponds outside fed an interior entry garden and water feature.
